Austin Trevor (7 March 1897 – 22 January 1978) was a British actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Hercule Poirot in the first sound adaptation of an Agatha Christie story, The Mysterious Affair at Styles (1931). Trevor's other notable film roles include The Wicked Lady (1945), The Lives of a Bengal Lancer (1935), and The Flying Deuces (1939). He also appeared in several television shows, including The Adventures of Robin Hood and Dixon of Dock Green. Trevor's career spanned over four decades, and he remained active in the entertainment industry until his death in 1978 at the age of 80.
